Dwight was first exposed to the ministry of CEF through the local Good News Club his church sponsors and that he and his wife, Zannie, co-lead. He has served churches in Kentucky, Washington, Alabama, and Tennessee as a volunteer, church planter, and staff member. Dwight’s involvement in Christian education and discipleship through small groups has run a span of almost 40 years leading to the publishing of two books. He is deeply committed to helping grow effective church small group ministries, providing consulting, training, and coaching for churches and small group leaders.

To impact children and their families though a Good News Club has been a highlight of his retirement from local church staff ministry which began in 2019. He not only is actively involved in his local church and Good News Club but works with discipleship leaders throughout the Southeast and Mid-West US. A priority for him and Zannie is attending the volleyball and softball games as well as cheerleading where his two younger granddaughters are involved.
